What is KidsTown?
KidsTown is where all kids are HIS kids!
At Northview Church, kids are important ... very important. We are committed to meeting their needs for love, security, understanding and acceptance in a world that is unstable, competitive and sometimes violent. Our programs are kid-oriented, our volunteers are carefully chosen and our curriculum is Biblically sound. It is a privilege to care for your children here. Together as a team, we are growing tomorrow's leaders. Let's give them the best. Let's give them Jesus! After all, they are HIS kids!
Primary (K-2)
Kindergarten, grade one and grade two children join their parents in the Worship Centre for the first 15 minutes of the service and then are invited to meet their friends and Coaches at the Towne Square for a time of worship. Then the primary children move across to the Main Street Café for age-appropriate Bible lessons. Upstairs, on Prime Time Avenue, each age group meets in their own classroom for a time of activities, Bible study and prayer. Our primary children are taught the Word of God using the Discipleland curriculum. Each child needs to have a Bible. We use the NIrV Bible as it is very kid-friendly. Junior (grades 3 - 5)
Grades 3, 4 and 5 children join their parents in the Worship Centre for the first 15 minutes of the service and then are invited to meet their friends and Coaches for a time of worship at the Towne Square. This age group remains in this area for Bible teaching and then goes upstairs for small groups where they have activities, Bible Study and prayer. Our children are taught the Word of God using the Discipleland curriculum. Each child needs to have a Bible. We use the NIrV Bible as it is very easy for a child to read and understand. KidsTown Choir
All kids in grades 1 - 5 are invited to be a part of our KidsTown Choir. We practice each Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 - 4:30 in the Youth Centre. Our choir presents two musicals each year - at Christmas and in the Spring. (see calendar) We also sing during special weekend services as requested. To become a part of the choir is easy! Just fill out a registration in September and January of each year. Cost is $15 each. Each family will receive a CD of the musical to help the kids learn the words and music at home.
